Flora and Fauna
The lower elevations feature sweeping grasslands and high-country meadows that transition rapidly into thick ponderosa forests and dense, mountain-hugging aspen groves. The wide grasslands are excellent for spotting pronghorn antelope, red-tailed hawks, and northern harriers, while the higher elevations are prime elk and black bear territory.
